PV-Storage DC-Coupled On/Off-Grid System
PV and battery systems are coupled through a DC bus, supporting modular elastic expansion and forming a microgrid with seamless on/off-grid switching.
01 Project Background
The PV and battery systems are coupled through a DC bus, supporting elastic expansion of multiple MPPT modules, PCS modular expansion, and battery cluster elastic expansion. A diesel generator can be equipped as an emergency backup power source. The system forms its own microgrid, supporting seamless on/off-grid switching. With proper battery configuration, grid power is essentially unnecessary.
02 Solution
The EMS coordinates the operation of all power sources within the microgrid, intelligently managing the relationships between the grid, batteries, PV, and loads. It uses battery + grid to smooth random fluctuations in PV power, time-shifts energy generated during the day to supply loads at night, and provides necessary battery system protection based on the current on/off-grid operating status, while automatically and intelligently regulating PV power. If the system involves charging pile loads, it supports load tiered management, automatically implementing reasonable power limiting for charging pile loads during off-grid operation.
03 Project Results
The EMS system supports remote unattended operation with local execution of power control strategies, ensuring system operation is unaffected even if the remote network fails. The EMS controller and cloud independently store system operation data, allowing local records to be retrieved for fault tracing in case of network failure. EMS operation strategies can be remotely modified anytime and anywhere via web or mobile app, and essential system operation parameters can be opened to users for self-maintenance.
